Sutton Lane ends is a picturesque semi-rural village that borders the village of Langley and Lyme Green located approximately one mile to the Southeast of Macclesfield. The parish includes the villages of Langley and Oakgrove and the hamlets of Gurnett and Jarman and Lyme Green.

Sutton originally formed a community centred around farming, forestry and textiles until the decline of these industries. The rivers Bollin and Rosendale run through the village as does Macclesfield canal and you can find many walks and nature trails for any outdoor enthusiasts.

The village boasts a strong community with many annual local attractions and events taking place such as the annual sheep dog trials and the Sutton Show held in a Marque. The village has a local hall and is also served by Sutton General Store & Post Office, Sutton & Co café with outdoor seating area and Sutton Village florist & gift shop. You will also find Sutton Hall a wonderful historic pub which is over 480 years old. In its life it has been a manor house, family home of the Earls of Lucan and a convent. Now you will find it full of nooks and crannies, with a snug, a library and a warren of seven different dining areas, with plenty of terraces and gardens to enjoy with outdoor seating areas.

Sutton also has a garden centre located on Bullocks Lane that offers a wide selection of great quality plants, shrubs and seeds as well as having a Garden Room restaurant alongside a wide range of homeware and gifts.
