James Sherratt is an established and experienced Estate & Letting Agent covering Macclesfield and its surrounding villages with well over a decade of collective experience in the property sector.
From a very young age James developed an inherent passion for property, originally sparked by his observations of his house proud mother Christine, a part time market stall worker, who would regularly showcase their family home that they renovated back in the mid 80’s to friends and family whilst entertaining. This was then later enriched by his father Chris, who at the time owned a local building firm back in the 90’s when James was fifteen and trying to decide on what to do for his work experience placement. James’ father had several close relationships with local agents, and it was through these relationships that Chris was able to secure a two-week placement for James at what is now one of Macclesfield’s most prominent agencies.
Little did James know at the tender age of fifteen that these early interventions would eventually set him on course to open the digital doors to his own Hybrid Bespoke Agency, with the sole intent of improving the customer journey by providing a unique, bespoke and personalised experience for his clients.
James has always lived in Macclesfield and was fortunate enough to be able to buy his first property; a modest two-bedroom end of terrace in January 2002 at the age of nineteen, which he then subsequently went onto sell in January 2013. James then went onto purchase his second home in the village of Sutton where he still resides to this day, with his wife and four children.
He also has roots within the village of Bollington and the hamlet of Kerridge where his grandmother Dorothy and her sister Brenda grew up at ‘North End Farm’ nestled at the foothills of White Nancy; a cherished local landmark and the former ‘Redway Tavern’ now converted to two homes located on Redway in Kerridge.
Estate agency reaches further into the depths of James’ family with his younger sister Carly, who also has over a decade of experience working in the local housing market.
James’ lifetime settlement in the Macclesfield area and his love of the local communities, alongside his passion for property and service makes him a champion for anyone wishing to sell or let their home.
He has worked for both corporate and local independent agencies, as well as spending time working in the financial services sector as a second charge mortgage underwriter, giving him a rare and commendable wealth of knowledge, that clients can draw upon. He is also a member of ARLA (Association of Residential Lettings Agents).
He has a strong, long held belief in treating people as you would expect to be treated; fairly and kindly which is of paramount importance when dealing with property transactions which can be very challenging.
